at the nation of Azerbaijan. So angered and shaken that I cannot bear to speak about the current events that happened in Europe. Here’s an article about it: http://www.washingtonpost.com/world/europe/russia-voices-concern-over-repatriation-pardon-of-azerbaijani-who-killed-armenian-in-hungary/2012/09/03/a5062fb0-f5c3-11e1-a93b-7185e3f88849_story.html
I was raised to equally tolerate individuals, never look at race, age, sex or ethnicity. Especially since I am Armenian, we have a huuuuuge historical scar. However, I have no hatred against Turkish individuals. One of my closest friends is Turkish and if we can be friends, so can a nation. Unfortunately, after hearing about a man from Azerbaijan murder an innocent Armenian young man in Hungary, I was confused and devastated! Armenians are peaceful and we would never do such a thing, so why someone do that to us? We are taught to love and accept, not hate, and we are against horrendous punishment. Now here’s where it aggravates me the most: Hungary found the man guilty (life sentence), however, the nation of Azerbaijan gave Hungary $3 million (give or take) to have the man be sent to the country. Hungary accepted because honestly, he should be dealt by his own people. WRONG! Once the man landed, he was freed and celebrated by the people. THEY GAVE HIM A MEDAL AND CALLED HIM A HERO!? WHAT KIND OF SICK AND INHUMANE PEOPLE ARE THEY?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?! Their definition of heroism is cruel, evil and immoral. I have lost hope for humanity. Why would a nation allow a man to go free like this? And this does not just happen in Europe, in the Americas as well, It’s universal. Worst part is that these people are encouraging the murderer and praising him for killing the young man. See, that is evil. How are you doing a good deed for your people by telling them it is fine to murder innocent people?
I am scared to be honest, I hope everything comes to normal and the man is punishment for his sins….
I know this is irrelevant to shoes, but even someone like me cannot let this go unheard. Spread the word and pray. Pray for this innocent man’s life for being taken too soon and pray for peace. We are going to need it…
